The village of Sinterklaas
Sinterklaas and the helpers are coming to the Netherlands again this year. They will sail across the big, big sea with a steamboat full of packages... hurray! On 21, 22, 23 and 24 November 2024, Sinterklaas and the helpers will stay and work in the Boerenbondsmuseum in Gemert. They hope to receive many visitors again, because they think that is very nice.

The museum is closed. Annual tickets of the museum are not valid. Only accessible with tickets from the Village of Sinterklaas.
Our hearts are beating with anticipation!
The young and old guests are given a tour of the village. This is where Saint Nicholas and his helpers stay and work during their stay in the Netherlands.
The helpers are busy preparing for the evening of presents. But they are happy to take the time to show everything! What do you think of the Rhyme School? Or the Parcel Storage? Singing a nice song with Grandpa and Grandma Pete? Two handballs in a net and a letter of pastry? Or the golden comb for Saint Nicholas’ beard? The smell of fresh speculaas in the Bakery? Hmmm..!
The tour ends with Saint Nicholas in his workroom. In addition to the interactive part, all guests also see the beautiful museum with a nostalgic look.

Practical information
Organisation
The Village of Sinterklaas is organised by Stichting Vetplant. The Boerenbondsmuseum provides the location and is not involved in the organisation.
Lot of tickets
Every year there is a lot of interest in tickets, therefor a lottery system is used. This way everyone has an equal chance of getting tickets. The Village of Sinterklaas is for young and old! That is why we ask you to come with a maximum of 2 adults per child. This way as many children as possible get the chance to meet Sinterklaas.
The tickets are sold in time slots (half clock hours). To ensure that everything runs smoothly, we ask you to be present 15 minutes before the start of the reserved time slot.

Food and drinks
During your visit to the Boerenbondsmuseum/The Village of Sinterklaas you can buy something to drink in the waiting room and in the main building (end of the tour). Refreshments are also available in the main building. It is not permitted to consume your own food and drinks on the museum grounds. It is not possible to buy sweets in the authentic sweet shop ‘Gîmmerse Negôssie’ on these days.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on the grounds of the Boerenbondsmuseum, in the rooms, in the queue and during the tour.
